Overview

Influence marketing in Dubai, the UAE and Saudi Arabia

Influence marketing in Dubai has moved past the paid post. Discovery now runs through creator partnerships, community trust and short-form formats that feel native to Instagram and TikTok. The market is also regulated: the UAE Media Council requires a permit for individuals who advertise on social media, paid or not. A creator campaign here is judged on compliance and reputational safety as well as reach. We run it as a channel with a plan, a budget and numbers, not as a list of names.

We start with the people the audience already trusts, and that changes by market. In Saudi Arabia, authentic organic content counts for more than paid placements. That shaped the pool of 25+ influencers we built for ARTDOM in Riyadh. We choose for audience fit and credibility, and set how many creators of each size the job needs. On ARTDOM we ran the activations end to end, from the first brief to on-site coordination. For MONOCHROME × SMASHBOX we wrote the influencer communication scripts, creative references and guidelines.

Creators work best as part of the launch, not beside it. On MONOCHROME × REEBOK, the influencer kits carried the same narrative as the teasers and press releases, and seeding and early-access previews ran ahead of the drop. We report in response and cost, not only reach. Our Influencer Manager, Ekaterina, has 4+ years' experience in international campaigns across lifestyle, F&B and events. She specialises in strategy, content and analytics on Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and Telegram.

What it covers

  1. Creator strategy and selection

We decide whose voice carries the brand in each market and why. Selection runs on authenticity, credibility and content quality, the three principles behind MONOCHROME × REEBOK, and the mix is set for the job, from micro-creators with a strong narrative style to stylists and niche fashion creators.

    • Influencer positioning strategy for each market and audience
    • Key voices mapped by category, such as architecture, design, fashion and lifestyle
    • A creator mix across micro, mid-tier and niche profiles
    • Design-forward creators and collector communities for limited drops
  2. Seeding, gifting and early access

For launches and product drops, we put the product in the right hands before the public sees it. Gifting and seeding give creators something real to film, and early-access previews let stylists and fashion creators work the pieces into their own shoots.

    • Gifting and seeding mechanics for product launches
    • Early-access previews for stylists and niche fashion creators
    • Influencer kits that carry the launch narrative
    • Unboxings and aesthetic shots around limited-edition drops
  3. Campaign activations and content

We run activations end to end: briefing, scheduling, on-site coordination and content supervision. Creators get the narrative and the references they need, and formats are chosen for the platform, from content integrations and story placements to editorial-style visuals.

    • Briefs and influencer communication scripts
    • Content integrations and story placements
    • A publishing schedule tied to the launch timeline
    • Content supervision against creative references and guidelines
    • Campaign cycles tied to seasonal narratives
  4. Influencers at events and openings

For openings and live events we build the guest list around people whose content will carry the night beyond the room. Dubai lifestyle and luxury influencers sit alongside media, art community representatives and collectors, and we coordinate them on the day.

    • Influencer guest lists for launches, openings and exhibitions
    • Invitations and influencer messaging built on the event narrative
    • On-site coordination of creators and content capture
    • Guest user-generated content and influencer coverage from the day
Process

How it runs

  1. Step 01

    Objectives

What the campaign must move, from awareness to sales, and which voices the audience trusts.

  2. Step 02

    Creator selection

A shortlist per market, a mix of creator sizes, and where gifting or seeding beats a paid post.

  3. Step 03

    Brief and launch

Creators get the narrative, a kit or script and a schedule; we keep the content on brief.

  4. Step 04

    Track and report

Views, clicks, reach and engagement against budget, the cost of each, and what to repeat.

FAQ

Questions about Influence Marketing

If the answer you need is not here, it is a two-line email away: info@encore-mena.com.

How much does influencer marketing cost in Dubai?

For Aniline Studio's Glitch World exhibition, the influencer budget for 11 creators was 41,590 AED, at an average engagement cost of 21.70 AED. Your budget depends on how many creators you work with, who they are and what they produce. That is why we plan against cost per result rather than cost per post.

Do influencers in the UAE need a permit to advertise?

Yes. The UAE Media Council requires an Advertiser Permit for individuals who engage in advertising on social media, whether they are paid or not. Permit holders must display their permit number and publish ads only through registered accounts linked to that permit. There is a separate Visitor Advertiser Permit for visiting creators working in the UAE through approved agencies.

Should we work with micro-influencers or large accounts?

Usually a mix, chosen for trust and fit with the audience rather than reach alone. For Embrace Beauty we built a strategy across micro, mid-tier and niche creators, with gifting and seeding. For MONOCHROME × SMASHBOX we prioritised fashion-forward creatives and micro-creators with a strong narrative style. For MONOCHROME × REEBOK we chose stylists, niche fashion creators and personalities with high trust but curated reach, selected for editorial-level content.

Do you run influencer campaigns in Saudi Arabia?

Yes. For ARTDOM Riyadh Art & Design Congress we developed the influencer positioning strategy for the Saudi market, identifying key voices in architecture, design, fashion and lifestyle. We built and managed a pool of 25+ influencers and prioritised authentic organic content over paid placements. We also set up partnerships with Archinet, Blacklane and Riyadh Edit alongside the creator pool.

How do you measure the results of an influencer campaign?

We measure against what the campaign was set up to move, and what each result cost. On Glitch World, the 11 influencers had about 3.1 million followers between them, and what we reported was the response: 160,000 views and 2,040 sticker clicks. On a launch, we read creator results together with PR and ads, because they run on one timeline.
